Leon Allen

Leon was appointed to the role of Under Treasurer in September 2021, following his return to Queensland Treasury in May 2020 as Deputy Under Treasurer.

His appointment as Queensland’s Under Treasurer came after 13 years with the Institutional Banking and Markets division of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, where he held senior leadership positions both domestically and internationally.

Leon has extensive experience in both the public and private sectors with expertise in public policy, banking and finance, economics and fiscal management.
