Terms and Conditions
Welcome to HydroHub®, the Queensland Hydro eLearning system.
Before you use HydroHub®, you need to read and agree to the following terms and conditions:
- Ensure that you are eligible to use HydroHub®. Only Queensland Hydro employees and other authorised persons may use the HydroHub® system. If in doubt, check with your supervisor.
- You must not use HydroHub® or its courses frivolously, vexatiously or wastefully. You should only enrol in courses which you have an honest intention of completing and which are relevant to your role at Queensland Hydro. You must use your best endeavours to complete the courses in which you enrol.
- Be aware that some of the courses offered on the system are available at a cost. If your request for a course is approved, your organisation will be charged the relevant cost, regardless of whether you complete the course or not.
- You agree that in completing a course, you will abide by all relevant Queensland Hydro policies, including but not limited to any policies which relate to the usage of electronic resources.
- The courses themselves are subject to copyright and other intellectual property laws. You acknowledge and agree that all course content is the property of Queensland Hydro or other third party suppliers. Except where a course expressly authorises you to do so, you must not copy, download or print any material from the course or distribute or broadcast any such material. You must not take extracts from the course and/or pretend that those extracts are your own work. You must keep the details of the course content confidential.
- HydroHub® forms part of Queensland Hydro’s competitive advantage and as such the existence of HydroHub® is commercially sensitive information. You should use reasonable care and due discretion in responding to queries about HydroHub® from third parties.
- Within HydroHub®, you can provide feedback, answer questions, and communicate with other people (such as other learners in the course or assessors). You agree that any such communications will be both polite and relevant to the course, and not indecent, offensive, fraudulent, defamatory, illegal or knowingly untrue. As other HydroHub® users may not necessarily be Queensland Hydro employees, you agree that you will not disclose or communicate information confidential to Queensland Hydro.
- When completing courses, you agree that you will give truthful answers to any questions or tests and that you will conduct yourself honestly and, without limitation, will not have another person complete the training for you.
- In order to operate, HydroHub® relies on several pieces of information about you, including personal information. Such information may include details such as your name, department, business unit, email address, contact phone numbers, postal address, training stream, your curricula, course names and completion dates. By using HydroHub, you consent to the collection of your personal information by Queensland Hydro and its service provider, CornerstoneOnDemand, and acknowledge and agree that your personal information may be used and disclosed in accordance with Queensland Hydro’s Privacy Policy, available on Queensland Hydro’s website. You agree that Queensland Hydro (and its service provider, CornerstoneOnDemand) may keep records of what courses you have begun, your progress and achievements in each course, results obtained and any other information which relates to your course activity. This information may be used by Human Resources and other authorised persons (e.g. course provider or assessor) to check that you have fulfilled your training requirements and to assess your performance, as well as to assess the effectiveness of the training course and for other administrative purposes. Queensland Hydro may provide statistics about your usage of HydroHub® to relevant third parties.
- You agree that Queensland Hydro does not make any representations or warranties to you (or anyone else) about the quality, accuracy or fitness for purpose of any information you receive in relation to HydroHub® or a course. You should only rely on course material for the purpose and in the context in which it is provided and taking into account any instructions from authorised Queensland Hydro personnel. If any information is provided in a course which conflicts with your understanding of Queensland Hydro policies or procedures, you should report this fact and seek out an appropriately authorised person to inform you of the correct situation. You acknowledge that courses are likely to be provided by third parties and may not be perfectly tailored to Queensland Hydro requirements.
- You agree that Queensland Hydro is not liable for any loss, liability, cost, expense or damage (including without limitation legal fees) whether arising directly or indirectly, in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, that you or anyone associated with you suffers as a result of your use of HydroHub® or a course, except where your use of HydroHub® or a course is a mandatory requirement of your employment, in which case your normal employment conditions will apply. You indemnify Queensland Hydro for any loss, liability, cost, expense or damage that Queensland Hydro suffers as a result of your use HydroHub® or a course
- If you are not an employee of Queensland Hydro you are under the same obligations under these terms and conditions as employees of Queensland Hydro in addition to any other obligations you may have as a contractor or in any other capacity.
- Queensland Hydro does not guarantee that HydroHub will be free from viruses or that access to HydroHub will be uninterrupted or that the software which underlies HydroHub will be error free. Queensland Hydro has no liability for any damage caused to any computer system or data as a result of your use of HydroHub.
