Connecting Industry Luncheon – Gladstone – Wed 17 April

Queensland Hydro will be presenting the keynote presentation at the next Connecting Industry Luncheon in Gladstone on Wednesday 17 April 2024.

Chris Evans, Executive General Manager of Development, will talk about the role of pumped hydro in Queensland's transition to renewable energy, and provide an overview of our two proposed pumped hydro energy storage projects.

Attendees will also be able to find out information about supply opportunities, including proposed timelines for package releases and how to register for updates.

About Chris Evans

Chris has more than 25 years’ experience across major water, energy, power and utilities projects. This includes leading pumped hydro developments at Powerlink Queensland, overseeing SunWater’s major project group, and delivery of dam and tunnel-based hydropower developments in New Zealand. Chris has also held several enegineering and consulting roles across both Australia and New Zealand.

Chris holds a Master of Science (with honours) in hydrogeology and an MBA (with distinction) from the University of Canterbury.
