On Thursday 19 October 2023, the Department of State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning (DSDILGP) will host Queensland Hydro, John Holland and BC Plastics for an informative workshop for local businesses on supplying into major projects.
At 73 per cent of GDP, major projects and their supply chains comprise a significant portion of Queensland's economy. If you're a small business looking to strengthen your capabilities, or looking to supply into Queensland Hydro's projects, you may wish to attend.
The Supplying into Major Projects workshop will cover:
- The market for major projects and how it can benefit local businesses
- Risk management, including work health and safety, sustainability, information security and financial capacity
- Ethical suppliers
- Skills and workforce management, and
- Tender and contract readiness
