Tendering for Business Workshop – Gympie – Mon 20 May

The Department of State Development and Infrastructure (DSDI) are hosting a practical and interactive hald-day workshop in Gympie on Monday 20 May 2024.

This workshop is designed for regional businesses looking to stand out from competitors and improve their tender responses for government and private sector contracts both big and small.

Queensland Hydro will also be attending the session, where we will be sharing information on current work packages for our proposed Borumba Pumped Hydro Project.

The workshop will cover:

  • How to interpret tender documentation
  • How to prepare responses to key selection criteria
  • Understanding the importance of price versus non-price criteria
  • Common pitfalls and traps
  • Where to look for current and upcoming tendering opportunities
  • How to conduct market research to maximise your chances of success

Importance and Application to Queensland Hydro

Participants will learn how to identify, register and submit tender opportunities using portals such as QTenders and ICN Gateway used by Queensland Hydro to publish supply opportunities.

Queensland Hydro requires a capable and sizeable supply base to successfully deliver its projects and is committed to maximizing supply opportunities for Australian suppliers, including local businesses and workforces, to participant in a full, fair and transparent manner.

Enabling supplies to more effectively identify, prepare and submit tender submissions directly supports Queensland Hydros objectives of maximizing supply opportunities for Australian and local suppliers
